Join us for our Seventeenth Season opener as we begin a year-long “exploration” of the “Symphony form” – opening with the majestic “Egmont Overture” of symphonic giant, Ludwig van Beethoven, followed by two magnificent examples of the “symphonic genre” by Felix Mendelssohn and Johannes Brahms – whose life “bane” was to follow and labor in the shadow of the greatest creator of that form to date – and we think you’ll agree – they were more than equal to the task!
